Primo 609 Quick Lights Fire Starters, 24-Pieces per box

Not worth $14.95. Primo has lost their minds.. I’m not crazy about these. Love the fast light (match head) type start, but these don’t seem to stay lit for me. You can’t put lump charcoal over them without them going out. You need to use 2-3 of them and that gets expensive.I know some say you should only put the starters on top, but I find my lump charcoal starts better if it has at least one layer over it.Bottom line is I’ve experimented with all the “environmentally friendly” charcoal starters. These are great fire starters that I use on my Grill Dome XL. The work as advertised, but being 3x the price of competitors they simply don’t offer any value. I would look elsewhere unless you like being price-gouged.One other thing to note, when you strike the firestick against the strike pad on the box there are several times when the box caught on fire. From a design standpoint, it’s a huge flaw and liability. If you go with these firestarters, then I suggest lighting them…
