I have my meat smoker back! I have a Masterbuilt 30″ smoker. I went to use the smoker one day after about a year of ownership. The only thing it would do is trip my breaker where it was plugged in to. I researched the issue and found that Masterbuilt has issues with their heating element. Was not configured for our smoker I ordered this element to replace the one in our Masterbuilt smoker. The part number for our smoker was listed in the ad, indicating this was a direct replacement. That was not the case. Our element had a ground wire attached to it via a nut and bolt. This replacement element did not have the required hole drilled in it to attach the ground wire via the nut and bolt. So I had to drill the additional hole in the new heating element mounting plate.
