This helps protect the stainless steel connector from corrosion due to prolonged exposure to harsh chemicals found in common household cleaning, Plumbing repair and building products (ammonia, chlorine, solder flux and muriatic acid). designed for indoor and outdoor use as well as lp (Propane) and natural gas, procoat is resistant to the harsh effects of UV rays and Salt.

Did the good reviews have the same problem and are covering for … This unit requires two 7/8″ flare connectors. It came with only one. The connectors are carbon steel and will rust. This is not mentioned in the product description. I planned to use on an outside Rheem. A few other reviewers report a missing connector also.
